"The latest announcement from PETA that New York fashion designer Marc Bouwer had decided to exclude Australian Merino wool from his collections after discussions he held with PETA, gives some indication of the lengths the animal rights group will go to in creating spin.
"What neither PETA nor Bouwer have disclosed is the close association the two have had for some time. Marc Bouwer was sponsored by PETA in 2002 to design a collection without any animal products whatsoever, so his decision will have no impact on the consumption of Australian wool."
