The market intelligence arm of The Woolmark Company, Woolmark Market Intelligence, has expanded its reach into Latin America with the appointment of Uruguay-based agent, Roberto Cardellino.
“Roberto has more than 30 years experience in the wool industry of South America, most particularly in his home country, Uruguay,” says Woolmark's Chief Economist, Chris Wilcox. “He also completed graduate studies in wool science in Australia.”
“He brings a wealth of valuable knowledge to the Woolmark Market Intelligence team and, as our agent for Latin America, he'll work with major textile companies, supplying them with the important market intelligence and forecasts on the world wool textile industry that they need to make crucial business decisions.”
Woolmark Market Intelligence is the only dedicated team in the world which monitors, analyses and researches the world wool industry from raw wool supply to retail demand. Its team is based in Australia, the United Kingdom, Italy, China and Japan, drawing on its unique databases and access to textile experts from the global offices of The Woolmark Company to provide wool textile companies with valuable market intelligence and insights.
“Roberto will be vital to the work of Woolmark Market Intelligence in both information gathering and dissemination functions,” says Chris Wilcox.
“Our group is a respected provider of wool-specific economic data and our services are used by many of the world's leading wool textile companies. “We welcome Roberto to the Woolmark Marketing Intelligence team and look forward to supporting him in his work throughout Latin America.”
