Mid-sized department stores operator - Hart Stores Inc
Largest departmental store operator Hart Stores Inc is once again expanding. As announced at its shareholders meeting last month, the chain of mid-sized department stores will open five new stores in August and September: two in Ontario, including a 45,000-foot store in Sudbury and another in nearby Espanola; and three in Quebec, in the communities of Trois-Rivières, Beauport and Mont-Laurier.
Over the last few years, Hart Stores has actively followed its growth strategy as it continues to expand its network of mid-sized department stores, opening seventeen new stores in the last three years.
The Company's stores are firmly established in Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. More recently, the Company has made significant inroads in Ontario, where it will soon be operating five stores, including one in the all-important GTA market.
"They are pleased to see that their growth strategy continues to deliver results. With these two latest stores opening in Ontario, they are well on their way to building a foundation on which to grow their network in that province," stated Michael Hart, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hart Stores.
"Meanwhile, their home base in Quebec remains strong, and they are pleased to be opening new locations to serve the communities of Trois-Rivières, Beauport and Mont-Laurier."
Members of the media and the community are invited to attend the grand openings of the chain's five newest stores:
