Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI) invests in research, development, and innovation, aimed at ensuring the long-term profitability of Australian woolgrowers.

In 2007/08 AWI continues its commitment to address emerging skill shortages in the wool harvest sector by investing in a range of training initiatives for shearers and wool handlers.

AWI is seeking Expressions of Interest from Registered Training Organisations (RTO's), or other suitably qualified organisations/individuals working in partnership with an RTO, to provide up-skilling training opportunities to existing and novice shearers and/or wool handlers in all wool producing states.

It is AWI's intention that it will enter into a preferred supplier relationship with the successful RTO's for the delivery of training for the life of the three year program - subject to satisfactory performance and yearly renegotiation of training delivery costs.
