The development of Upright Posture Shearing Platforms (UPSP) has gone one step further, with a multi-stand unit currently on show around Australia.

The ShearEzy UPSP from Peak Hill Industries has undergone many improvements in the last six months, and is available in a multi-stand trailer unit.

“ShearEzy has demonstrated consistent and reliable performance across a wide range of sheep types,” said Joe Sullivan, Australian Wool Innovation's Program Manager – Wool Harvesting.

“In May this year a more productive and cost-effective model of ShearEzy was released, and once again Peak Hill has developed its design to suit other sectors of the industry. Our aim all along was to head for a transportable multi-stand unit that would suit contractors and groups of growers.

“With two platforms on a common trailer, incorporating wool handling and sheep delivery systems, the ShearEzy system allows for the trailer to pull up to a set of sheep yards and for shearing to commence. It really addresses situations where there are poor or non existent woolsheds.”

ShearEzy will be on show at field days around the nation in the next two months, and Peak Hill Industries' Bill Byrne said there has been consistent interest in the UPSP.

“We've had significant interest from those people who are interested in shearing their own sheep at this stage,” Bill Byrne, the developer of ShearEzy said.

“While a key market is the contractor, it doesn't surprise me that growers are the first to place orders."
