“It is really suited to growers who may want to shear their own sheep, or who may want to share a platform amongst several properties, or those who are not keen to update or build a new shed, but still have sheep to shear.”
AWI has invested significant funds on the UPSP program over the past three years, funding the development and testing of six alternative designs around Australia and New Zealand. The Peak Hill ShearEzy was the first of these designs to be made commercially available when it went on the market late 2006 and AWI has been involved with its continued improvement.
Growers can see the latest model ShearEzy in action at the following field days:
• Yorke Peninsula Field Days, Paskeville, SA: 25 – 27 September
• Elmore Field Days, VIC: 2 - 4 October
• Australian National Field Days, Orange, NSW: 16 - 18 October
