Six candidates have nominated for three positions on the Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) Board of Directors. Nominations closed on 3 October 2007.
The election will be held at the AWI Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 2.00pm on Wednesday 14 November 2007, at the Kardinia Heights Centre, Bell Post Hill which is 4km north-west of Geelong, Victoria.
Current members of the AWI Board of Directors, Dr Kevin Bell, Mr Hugh Nivison and Mr Peter Sykes are retiring, but have all advised they will be seeking re-election.
In addition, nominations have been received from Mr Roger Fletcher, Mr Charles Olsson and Mr Robert Pietsch and have each been supported by at least 100 AWI shareholders.
Voting papers will be sent to AWI shareholders with the Notice of AGM by 20 October.
Shareholders unable to attend in person will be able to vote by proxy via post, fax or the Internet.
