"The whole objective is to get the industry involved in learning about the latest technologies and innovations in order to keep our wool internationally competitive," Mr White said.
"We want to get Australian woolgrowers involved in the program so they gain a better understanding of the fibre and its applications."
This year the program attracted 100 participants representing major international textile manufacturers and wool producers, such as: Chargeurs (France), Shandong Ruyi and Sunshine Group (China), Trang An (Vietnam), Reliance (India) and Indorama (Thailand) and Australian companies Landmark, Elders and H. Dawson.
AWTTC is planning to run the course as an annual event at CSIRO's facility in Geelong.
