An important stage in fire protection legislation in India has been completed in that country. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has adopted European test norms, both for upholstery materials (BIS 1021) and drapes (BIS 13772/13773). The development means that we have substantially extended the basis for using Trevira CS materials, as the market becomes increasingly attractive for European manufacturers of Trevira CS textiles that are strong in terms of design.

Trevira yarn range: a functional system solution
Trevira is bringing out another functional yarn to add to its comprehensive programme of functional fibres and yarns. The company is launching at Expofil a new filament yarn type for the apparel sector, one that makes possible even better moisture conductance and faster drying. These improvements are achieved by a special transverse cut of single filaments. The new yarn is initially available in 76f48 titre and bears the additional label MC (Moisture Control).

The new type is suitable for weft and warp knitting and for wovens. Materials in it are particularly suited for active sportswear, such as vests, shirts, trousers and sports jackets. They supply not only optimal control of body temperature, but also have a very pleasant feel, ensuring complete comfort for the wearer.
