Ciba Specialty Chemicals is presenting a new continuous moist crosslinking process for outstanding, reproducible non-iron effects on cellulosics at ITMA Asia from October 17-21, at Stand no. 6E-32 in Hall 6. Developed in cooperation with A. Montforts Textilmaschinen GmbH, the new system allows processing time to be reduced from over 20 hours to less than 3 minutes. It also ensures greater flexibility and higher process dependability than conventional systems.
Peter Otto, Global Head of Marketing in Ciba Specialty Chemicals' Textile Effects Segment says that today's high standards of easy care require innovative technologies and products. This new, dependable continuous moist crosslinking process allows non-iron effects to be achieved in a fraction of the time required by batchwise methods. The process can be used in conjunction with other treatments, such as laundry-fresh effects.
The non-iron finish, produced with a resin specially developed for moist crosslinking processes, Ciba KNITTEX FA conc., is particularly suited for high-level performance on articles such as shirting and bed linen. It ensures reproducible anti-wrinkle effects and leaves the fabric with a soft handle. Oeko-Tex 100 standard requirements can be achieved.
