A Rs109 crore expansion project is on cards for Karur based Sabare International Ltd, which plans big foray in high end home textile goods sector.

The company is gearing its capacity to supply 'one-stop' shopping retailers.

This expansion will help reinforce the domestic production and distribution centers and merge them with supply chain logistics it has established with global retailers.

Production facilities in Noida, and Panipat will be infused with fresh investments from where the company supplies the decorative bedding and quilting materials, rugs and floor coverings and also specialized hand-made textile products for its overseas retailers.

Noida plant is estimated to produce one million units of bedding and other products per year and four million sq mtrs of rugs and carpets would be produced at Panipat. The investments in these two plants would be Rs 12 crore and Rs 20 crore respectively.

Besides, setting up of a new weaving and sewing plant for basic home textile items in Karur, a new wet processing plant for dyeing, printing and textile finishing at Perundurai in Erode will be the part of this expansion.

The Perundurai facility costing Rs25 crore would have a processing capacity of five tons of yarn and one lakh metres of fabric per day, apart from a printing facility to handle 20000 metres a day.

The company also wishes to start its own home textile production facility in China.

S. Susindran, Chief Executive Officer said that changing home textile markets give scope to high fashioned home textiles.
