Lasbella Textile Mills plant & machinery under auction

Privatisation Commission has posted Expression of Interest (EOI) to interested parties for the sale of assets on 'as is where is' basis for plant, machinery and equipment of Lasbella Textile Mills (LTM).
This project of Iran Pakistan Industries (Pvt) Limited (IPI) situated at Uthal, District Lasbella, Balochistan will attract interested parties paying a non-refundable processing fee not later than December 31, 2005.
The parties, which will be given the list of the machinery, can inspect it on any working day during office hours after getting prior appointment with Privatisation Commission or Iran Pakistan Industries, Karachi.
Scarcely used machinery includes fully integrated units of 50,000 spindles and 1100 looms with complete dyeing and finishing facilities.
Plant established in 1976 and started production in January 1980, was shut down in 1983.
Privatization Commission will organize a pre-bid conference in the last week of January 2006 to explain transaction and bidding procedure.
