As per Use-based classification, the sectoral growth rates in February 2006 over February 2005 are 8.5 percent in Basic goods, 13.5 percent in Capital goods and 2.5 percent in Intermediate goods. The Consumer durables and Consumer non-durables have recorded growth of 18.2 percent and 10.6 percent respectively, with the overall growth in Consumer goods being 12.4 percent.
Alongwith the Quick Estimates of IIP for February 2006, the indices for January 2006 have undergone the first revision and those for November 2005 have gone the second (final) revision in the light of the updated data received from the source agencies. There are no significant revisions in the indices for November 2005 and January 2006.
