AATCC Textile Technician Certification Program in Oct

The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) will be conducting Module 3 of the Textile Technician Certification Program October 17 – 18 at the College of Textiles at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina USA.
The College of Textiles instructional staff will teach this program under the auspices of AATCC. Program enrollment is limited to 12 to ensure a high degree of personal instruction. Participants will be accepted on a first come basis.
Module 3 of the Textile Technician Certification Program is a rigorous hands-on training program that seeks to ensure the proper execution of the following AATCC Test Methods:
- Test Method 88B - Smoothness of Seams in Fabrics after Repeated Home Laundering - Test Method 88C - Retention of Creases in Fabrics after Repeated Home Laundering - Test Method 124 - Appearance of Fabrics after Repeated Home Laundering - Test Method 135 - Dimensional Changes in Automatic Home Laundering of Woven and Knit Fabrics
Each participant will be instructed in the correct way to perform the methods and evaluation procedures and will then be required to perform the tests and evaluate their results. Participants must achieve a minimum score on a written test and practicum.
In addition to the on-site testing and evaluations, participants will be given materials and instructions for completing tests in their own labs. The worksheets, evaluations and test samples must be returned to the staff for grading.
