Emerging China is killing Canadian clothing & textile industry

“The government's not listening to what workers in the industry are saying,” says Dagg. “Perhaps the trade tribunal will.”

“This is all about fairness,” she says. “The surge in Chinese clothing imports is directly related to the illegal and unfair subsidies given to Chinese producers, including currency manipulation, non-performing loans, reduced or free utilities, shipping, property taxes, and export tax rebates.

Canada should not be on the sidelines watching unfair trade practices put Canadians out of work.”
