The flood of retailers who shopped the LA Fashion Market this week, coupled with the influx of tenants who reported this was their best market to date, made it apparent; the California Market Center is the hub of the apparel business.
The unprecedented success of this October LA Fashion Market illustrates the global appeal of contemporary fashion and that the California Market Center remains the cornerstone for all apparel categories.
The worldwide draw of the LA Fashion Market was further enhanced this Market by the addition of new permanent and temporary resources, the Lounge Co-Op on 2A and Accessories at Transit.
A wide variety of department and specialty stores shopped the LA Fashion Market this week, including Fred Segal, Henri Bendel, Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Kitson Madison and many more.
October is the busiest month of the year for the California Market Center with back-to-back shows such as the Majors Market, Transit shoe show, Los Angeles Fashion Market and LA Intl' Textile Show.
"With our Textile Show starting in just a few days, attendees will just have a brief moment to let their credit cards cool down after such a busy market," said Joanne Lee, Director of Tradeshows for the California Market Center.
Tenants agree that this was a profitable market for them. "Sales were off the charts," said Stacey Keys of her self-titled showroom. "The LA Fashion Market has grown into the can't-miss market to transition your merchandise from Fall to Spring."
