Customs duties on 17 textile items to go from Aug 1

The customs duty tariff regulation committee under the State Council has decided to remove 17 textile items from the customs dragnet. This decision will make such items cheaper, and boost exports when the country is fighting restrctions from the US and the EU countries. Decision to this effect was taken by the committee on July 21, 2005. Currently, there are 51 kind of textiles under the list attracting various customs levies.
