Shri Arun Ramanathan assumed the office of Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, here this morning.
He was Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals before taking up this new assignment.
Shri Ramanathan belongs to 1973 batch of IAS of Tamil Nadu Cadre.
He joins in place of Shri Vinod Rai who took over as Comptroller and Auditor General of India on 7th of this month.
