The National Retail Federation announced last week during its 97th Annual Convention and EXPO, the election of its 2008 Officers.
Myron E. (Mike) Ullman, III, Chairman, President and CEO of J.C. Penney Company Inc will assume the role of Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Executive Committee. Ullman will serve a two-year term.
In addition, NRF elected the following Officers to serve a two-year term:
• Philip L. Francis, Chairman and CEO of PetSmart Inc - First Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Finance Committee & Treasurer
• Stephen I. Sadove, Chairman and CEO of Saks Incorporated - Second Vice Chairman of the Board
• Kip Tindell, Chairman and CEO of The Container Store - Chairman of the Awards and Nomination Committee
NRF also elected two other Directors to serve three-year terms. Those elected include:
• Mindy F. Grossman, President and CEO of HSN
• Robert B. Johnston, President of Hudson's Bay Company
Re-elected to the Associate Member Advisory Council were Jan deJong, Worldwide Global Industry Manager of Retail for Microsoft Corporation and Walter F. Loeb, President of Loeb Associates.
