American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition (AMTAC) will arrange a meeting on September 15, 2005. At the meeting US industry to announce filing of safeguard petitions to limit textile and apparel imports from China.
US textile, apparel and fiber producing trade association executives and labor union officials will be holding a press conference call on Thursday, September 15 at 11:30 AM Eastern Time to:
(1)Announce the filing of safeguard petitions to limit U.S. textile and apparel imports from China, and;
(2)Answer any questions about the U.S. textile industry's perspective on negotiations for a comprehensive textile trade agreement between the United States and China
