Sickness in small scale units decline

As per the data compiled by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) from the scheduled commercial banks, the number of sick Micro, Small And Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country as at the end of March 2007 (latest available) was 1,32,081.

As per the data compiled by the RBI from the scheduled commercial banks, the number of sick MSMEs declined from 1,40,337 at the end of March 2006 to 1,32,081 at the end of March 2007.

This information was given by the Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Shri Mahabir Prasad in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha.
