JK Synthetics to put Jhalawar plant on the block

Yadhupati Singhania controlled JK Synthetics Ltd is in the process of being sold off, and an asset sale committee has been created to utilise the sale proceeds to clear debts.

Based in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, the factory manufactures acrylic fibre to the tune of 18,000 tons per annum and nylon tyre yarn at 4,500 tons per annum. The diversified JK Synthetics Ltd, once a flagship company of the JK Group went sick in April 1998. It has interests in cement, besides textiles.
