Teka (Tecelagem Kuehnrich S.A.), a large Brazilian exporter of bed and bath articles, confirms its presence at the 2006 edition of the Heimtextil, the largest fair in the world for household textiles, which will be held January 11 – 14, in the city of Frankfurt, Germany.
Teka has participated in this traditional textile sector event for more than 20 years, an example of the company's pioneering spirit and focus on exports.
According to the company's export director, Almir Bieging, participation is fundamental for the company since it is one of the main showcases for the foreign market.
“The European market, and most especially the German, is one of the main destinations for our exports today. We hope this edition of the Heimtextil will be one more opportunity for us to start new contacts with overseas customers,” said the executive.
In 2005, 35% of Teka's total production was for the export market, with Germany, the United States and Argentina as the main destinations.
The beach towels in the “Tropicália” collection, comprised of products with a “fashion” appeal, are one of the novelties to be shown in Frankfurt.
The towels are produced in giant sizes (90 cm x 183 cm), in 100% cotton and with specific weights of 360 gr/m². These velvety towels satisfy Teka's main foreign clients' demands who are constantly searching for differentiated products.
The collection Teka is taking to Germany presents neo-tropicalistprints. 'This OFF is imbedded in Brazilian culture due to the exuberance of our summer and the richness of our country's fauna and flora, always so admired by the foreigners,” informs Claudia Vier, Teka product creation and development manager.
