Mattress Firm opens largest bedding store in Texas

Mattress Firm Inc, an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners Inc and one of the nation's leading mattress retailers, has announced the opening of Texas' largest bedding store.
The new 18,000-square-foot store is adjacent to the company's corporate headquarters at 5815 Gulf Freeway in Houston and is the largest of the chain's 300 stores nationwide.
Steve Stagner, Mattress Firm Chief Operating Officer, said, "Our vision was to design a store that would offer the largest selection of bedding products anywhere, as well as special features not normally found in a mattress store to enhance our customers' sleep experience.”
"The result was a one-of-a- kind store that raises the bar for our industry and offers the ultimate shopping experience for consumers," he added.
The Mattress Firm SuperCenter features more than 60 different models of mattresses from top manufacturers such as Sealy(R), Tempur-pedic(R) Simmons(R), and Stearns & Foster(R).
Specialty mattress and bedding products incorporating the latest in sleep technology are also on display in the Sleep Rx gallery, including pressure relieving mattresses from Tempur-pedic(R) and Sealy(R). It also features a Value Center offering an assortment of value-priced bedding and a Clearance Center offering a wide variety of overstock items at further reduced prices.
The design of the store is based on Mattress Firm's new SuperCenter concept which features a combination of wood flooring,ceramic tile and carpet throughout the store along with artwork and natural wood fixtures and shutters accented by a warm color palette to create a comfortable, home-like look and feel.
