India's leading Home Textile brand, Bombay Dyeing announced it's association with the Couture King of Contemporary Style, Sabyasachi Mukherjee once again to launch the Bombay Dyeing Sabyasachi Tao collection. An exquisite Bed & Bath line inspired by the simplicity of Taoism and the mystique of the Orient.
The glamorous launch event, held at Henry Thams on Thursday, October 4th, tastefully wove in elements of the Oriental inspiration behind the Bombay Dyeing Sabyasachi Tao Collection.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Mrs. Maureen Wadia did the honours of unveiling the new collection, in the esteemed presence of Mr. S.K. Gupta, Executive Director, Bombay Dyeing, Mr. Arun Bhawsingka, Domestic Business Head, Bombay Dyeing and other senior officials.
Tao, also pronounced as 'Dao', is based upon an understanding that the only constant in the universe is change. It is exemplified as 'a way of natural harmony; of truth, beauty and justice'.
The Bombay Dyeing Sabyasachi Tao Collection aesthetically combines Taoism's three main principles to create a luxuriously magnificent Bed & Bath range, through the usage of traditional oriental motifs and splashes of red and gold, to reflect the richness and mystique associated with this belief.
Elaborating on the concept & inspiration for his latest designer line, Sabyasachi said, “Life is a maze of complexity."
Incorporating the principles of Tao in design was intended to weave simplicity into creating an innovative semblance of clarity and beauty, which will enhance the tranquility and inner peace in one's bedroom, which has often been described as the mind's sanctuary.
