“Textile Days India 2007” received a standing ovation from the global textile industry as it ended in Mumbai. The offerings of three brand fairs, Heimtextil India, Texworld India and Techtextil India, set the stage alight for serious business from the very first moment of its opening.
A total of 16,689 buyers from 98 countries competed for business opportunities amongst 348 exhibitors from 21 countries, and returned extremely satisfied.
The unanimous opinion of the global textile industry was that while India continues to impress with its unique, traditional strengths of home and apparel textiles, it is entering a new phase of opportunity with technical textiles. By staging “Textile Days India”, Messe Frankfurt provided the market with a highly interactive, international platform that the industry required.
While buyers from all over the world took in the exquisite mix of home fashion and apparel fabrics & accessories at Heimtextil India and Texworld India, Indian entreprueners, textile houses, research institutes, automotive, medical, construction industries, & corporate investors jostled for attention at Techtextil India. Germany, the world's leading producer of technical textiles took centre stage at the fair with more than 50 exhibitors under the concept “ High Tex from Germany.”
Sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, in cooperation with the Association of German Trade fair Industry (AUMA) and supported by the Confederation of the German Textile & Fashion Industry ( Gesamtverband Textil + Mode ), “High Tex” aimed to tap the huge potential of the Indian market with its high powered show of technical textiles.
