Henan Textile Industry register's profit despite odds

The textile industry in Henan Industry continued to blossom inspite of the adverse conditions prevailing inside and outside the country.
Early industrial efforts, such as those to improve their production, have paid off.
January – June recorded a rise by 22.23 percent over last year in the production of yarn raising it to 622,400 tons, whereas the fabrics rose by 13.51 percent to 773 million meters and apparel grew by 64.05 percent to 99.24 million units.
Meanwhile, the production of man-made fibers fell by 11.7 percent to 185,700 tons.
Textile and apparel sales grew by 21.64 percent to 20.8 billion yuan, and profits jumped 24 percent to 782.0 million yuan.
Profits in textiles jumped 91.41 percent or 250 million yuan, along with those in apparel by 37.1 percent or 16 million yuan, and man-made fibers by 15.58 percent or 26 million yuan.
Slower growth was seen in the exports of goods.
Exports of textiles and apparel from the province increased by 2.18 percent from the year before to 2 billion yuan, which is 19.9 points smaller than the nationwide average growth of 22.08 percent.
