Wood Group to support ExxonMobil Fife ethylene plant

Energy services company Wood Group's company Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) has been appointed by ExxonMobil to provide maintenance, support and construction services to its onshore asset, the Mossmorran Fife Ethylene Plant. The facility processes North Sea ethane into ethylene which is widely used in the manufacture of polyethylene products.

The multi million pound contract, over five years, will initially provide employment for around 40 - 50 Wood Group personnel at ExxonMobil's site at Mossmorran.

George Brown, Managing Director of Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) stated that Wood Group is delighted to have been awarded this significant onshore contract.

Wood Group will be supported by Cape as the scaffolding and insulation sub-contractor.
