A senior official from Lakshmi Machines Works said, "Textiles have realized the importance of quality and cost competitiveness. India has the largest spindle capacity installed for yarn production, following by China, which has provided a major boost to the overall growth of the industry. The cost competitiveness of Indian spinners is far better than others."

Vishvesh Patel, one of the Directors at Vishvesh Textiles, said, "Development in India is tremendous, whether it is in the field of designs, textures, innovations or variety. This is determining the ultimate progress. Home furnishing is also playing a huge role in the industry."

Mishra further states, "Individual companies have developed reasonably good infrastructure. Major players have converged together and contributed tremendously. A common interactive forum has been created so as to make infrastructure affordable and accessible to small entrepreneur or Small Scale Industries. This has been accomplished greatly by providing common facility centres for dyeing, spinning and design development and for seeking market information. This has helped all the manufacturers gain by coming together and fighting the challenges of world market."

Joshi, on the other hand, reveals promising future plans, saying, "Based on the current capacity, number of units in operation and anticipated future demand, an investment of Rs 300 billion is expected for infrastructure during the 2006-2011 period and more than 15.5 million spindles will likely be added."
