Grameen bank, which stressed on poverty eradication by innovative ideas has expanded into other ventures.
One of its success is “Grameen Check” which is a handloom fabric globally marketed by Grameen Uddog.
Grameen Check is produced by hand weaving and colourful cotton fabrics.
Today, Grameen Check employs 200,000 shareholder handloom weavers and exports to the United States, Britain, Europe and Japan.
