The newest trend seen on the ramp of New York fashion week this year is the designs inspired from the past era with a rich colour palette.

Eminent designers like Narciso Rodriguez, Derek Lam, Betsey Johnson, Monique Lhuillier, and Marc Jacobs presented their collection to create trend for the world to follow.

The new collection of Narciso Rodriguez presented a lot of refined wool pieces in ivory and gray prints. He presented trendy coats in winter white wool coat with a wide waistband, and an emerald green and black coat having bracelet sleeves in mixed silk and nylon. The best of that set was a trim suit worn with extra-long gray gloves.

His super-sexy gown with skinny spaghetti straps in the front and a bathing suit style crisscross in the back and open and bare on the rest of the bodice was very much appreciated by the front row celebrities like Rachel Weisz.

Derek Lam brought back the micro minis and the corset bodices trend in warm fabrics and many layers creating a sophisticated look.

Lam's models also featured few chic but casual weekend pieces. The most remarkable outfit was a dark camel double-breasted blazer worn with a plaid zippered tunic and riding pants.

Lam has used lots of rich French blue color in his designs.

Betsey Johnson created some of the longest skirts, subtle colors and most wearable outfits seen at Fashion Week till now.
