The emphasizing collection of Betsey were a navy crocheted sheath with a peplum at the waist, a black wool sheath with tight pleats at the hem, and a cozy hooded mohair anorak in gray with white stripes.
But the most popular pieces were one-shoulder plum organza dress with tiered ruffles on the bottom and the ivory ribbon-embroidered chemise.
Monique Lhuillier took a shift from her trade mark of pretty and ladylike clothes for this year's collection.
She created high-neck dresses and gowns adorned with what looked like gold coins or hammered metal. There also was a lot of structure to the clothes.
Her evening wears like rose chiffon gown with a panel of pleats down the front or the emerald green corset gown received a lot of applauding.
The American designer, Marc Jacobs presented long, lean clothes sparkling in sequins. Models wore hats of 1920's style to complement pleated shirtdresses that went below the knee and menswear-style vests and narrow legged pants. Jumpsuits with delicate embroidered bows were liked very much.
Eveningwear presented were tailored tuxedos, dropped-waist or draped dresses. A teal coloured strapless velvet gown with an oversized bow at the bustline was his finale piece.
Jacobs colour palette included trendy colours like teal and berry along with gray, navy, beige and winter white, in mixed textures.
