Mumbai market witnessed sluggish demand for cotton yarn. Mills and stockists are avoiding cutting their selling rates, though some are offering discounts to potential buyers on a case-by-case basis. Domestic demand is also poor despite the beginning of the festival season. Cotton yarn demand should ideally pick up before the peak festival period.”
