In Ludhiana, cotton yarn prices dropped by &#****;* per kg as mills and stockists reduced selling rates, though domestic demand showed no improvement. Export demand, however, is expected to strengthen soon. A Ludhiana trader told Fibre*Fashion, “Cotton prices are coming down, which is good for spinning mills. Cheaper raw material has helped cut production costs. Lower production has improved prospects for export orders.”
