"TaylorMade first created special edition hats and bags for the 2003 Masters. The idea was conceived to pay respect to the four major championships and show our reverence for their history, their venues and their champions," said Craig Barez, creative director for TaylorMade-adidas Golf.

"At every major, the players look forward to see what we've come up with and our new staff professionals are always impressed by the efforts we take for the major championships. We take a great deal of enjoyment and pride in every aspect of it – creating the logos, choosing the colors, distributing to the players, and giving the proceeds of the autographed bags sales to a great cause like the First Tee."

Two special edition bags are created for each Tour Staff player for each major. After the event players keep the bag used in the tournament and autograph the other; autographed bags are sold to a private collector and the proceeds are donated to The First Tee, a World Golf Foundation youth development program that has introduced golf and its life-enhancing values to more than 1.5 million young people since 1997.
