Liz Claiborne, the Belgian born, American fashion designer, and entrepreneur, as well as the founder of Liz Claiborne Inc. which has made its way to the fortune 500, died on Tuesday, June 26.
The cause of her death is yet to be known.
Liz Claiborne Inc, a fashion company, based in New York, creates and markets a varied range of women's and men's apparel, accessories and fragrance products.
The company intended to create a collection of fashions which can satisfy the growing needs of the working women.
In 2006, Liz Claiborne Inc generated sales of nearly $5 billion.
