India's PolyCycl launches Gen VI for advanced recycling

PolyCycl has announced the launch of its latest innovation, Gen VI, marking a significant advancement in the recycling of single-use and hard-to-recycle municipal plastics. This new technology is designed to transform waste plastics into high-quality, food-grade polymers, renewable chemicals, and sustainable fuels.

Gen VI introduces the Contiflow Cracker, a fully-continuous process that efficiently converts waste plastics into liquid pyrolysis oils. This system is complemented by the PyOilClean, a cutting-edge purification technology that effectively reduces contaminants like organic chlorides through a cost-effective, multi-stage purification process that avoids expensive hydrogenation methods, as per a LinkedIn post by the company.

With Gen VI, PolyCycl provides a viable solution to recycle challenging waste materials such as single-use grocery bags and food-contaminated packaging, which have traditionally posed recycling issues. By converting these materials into circular feedstocks, the technology supports the petrochemical and hydrocarbon industries in producing a range of premium, low-carbon circular polymers.
