Colony
“European” memories of adventures in far-away countries, either enemy or friendly, which are to be re-interpreted by drawing inspiration from the charm of a time that doesn't belong to us any more, except as historical heritage, from which however we take on the taste for fresh textile materials and aspects.
Far-away countries that once were considered a myth and today can be reached by everybody with a few hours travel; countries to which once the granitic European aesthetic expectations were exported accompanied by their certainties almost with no possibility of exchange with the local inspirations.
We wanted to go in search of those certainties and of a confirmation of that style for a portion of an informal and easier clothing for men and women, and also for some fabrics that can fit less close-fitting and wider shapes that are now needed again.
Make-up
The make-up is the one thing without which the cinema would have ever existed, or at least as we know it. The make-up is the essence of the cinema that better sums up theory and practice of this art of illusion.
Being and looking, or better to what extent looking becomes being. Satisfaction and self-satisfaction, femininity in its quintessence.
Artifice of the body that suggests artifice in the materials and inspires fabrics that recall the recent trend in make-up, a kaleidoscopic, almost holographic and three-dimensional make-up thanks to the use of metal oxide micro grains and liquid crystals.
