Great Business Opportunity

The fair indeed proved to be a great business opportunity for garment manufacturers/exporters, apparel brands and labels, importers, distributors and agents, buying houses/agents, fashion designers, merchandisers, design studio and institutes. The product profile range from woven and knitted fabrics in manmade, natural and blended fibre groups to trims and embellishments found favour with buyers going by the cross-section of responses, which we are presenting here;

Mohamed El Habibi, Sahara Group, Cairo, Egypt: This is a good place, the response has been fantastic. We are successful in getting the kind of buyers we have been looking, for our Egyptian cotton materials. Everything seems to be just perfect. The number of visitors, increases in the afternoon, which is a good sign. As for the look and business, it looks like any other fair held anywhere else. We received a lot of international visitors from countries like Turkey, Switzerland, Taiwan and Korea.

Ken Huang, Market Promotion Dept, Taiwan Textile Federation, Taiwan: India is emerging very strong in textiles especially in apparel-making. It is producing lot of cotton, yarn and synthetic fibres. India would definitely benefit from the current deadlock between China and the US. We are exploring bigger market for the producers of garments. We expect that garment manufacturers of India would be interested in our production.

Abhay Chhapia, CEO, Kamalaexport(Representatives in India for Carvico SpA Italy): We are bringing into India, products which are made in Italy and are best in the world, particularly warp knitted lycra fabrics. The fabrics are used all over the world by the brands like Nike, Reebok, Adidas and other world famous lingerie brands. Such fabrics are available for the first time in India. It is high time that Indian people who import such fabrics from China and Korea opt for our products. Our fabrics are truly international and we have made special price agreement with Carvico and we are 20 % - 25 % cheaper than the international market. The fair is an eye-opener for us and Carvico. Rather, I should say garment industry. The response is fantastic.
