Abdul Razzak, Chief Executive, Samad Textile Corporation, Pakistan: We manufacture all kinds of bottom wear fabrics. We are already supplying our products to India and after participating here, we realised more existence, more potential. We cater to Indian exports as well as domestic markets. We are manufacturing twills, poplins, drills and so on. We are first time participating in any Indian exhibition. The response is very fine and we want to participate in the second edition of Intex in April 2006. Lot of serious buyers have visited us and that too on the first day. We already got an order and I hope we will be able to finalise order of 2 lakh metres in this exhibition.

Marco Briasco, General Manager, Samsung Fashion s r l, Italy: We are specialised in very fine fabric for men's wear. We regularly come out with innovative products for suiting and jacketing, but not much for trousers. Our products are mainly in fine wool, and we go from super 120 upto 220, which at the moment is best in the world. We supply our products to reputed apparel brands of Italy, Europe, the US market and China. However, India is new market for us. Our focus is increasing on Indian market because of its rapid growth on apparel front. India can reach dizzy heights if people invest in time and government comes out with industry friendly policies. The ambience of the Intex is nice and we expect good business.

Salim Parekh, Executive Director, Al-Abba Fabrics Pvt Ltd, Karachi: We are vertically unit of knitted fabrics. For the first time we are exhibiting in Mumbai. We see a big potential in Indian market. China and India are most upcoming nations in textiles. It's a huge domestic market and we feel that we will be able to export fabrics and garments to India uptil now response is very good for us. And, I met few potential clients from India as well as abroad. Over all set up of the fairs is quite good.
